Blowhole!!!

If you look at a map of Maui, it looks like a head and upper body. Last weekend I went around the head! It was very remote and gorgeous! Along the way I also went to the blowhole!

Joe was excited

Awe! So sweet! Isn't this rock amazing???

The wind was so strong!!!

This road was no joke! We also had to pass others and be passed on it! SCARY

This is a mountain very close to where I live!

Maui Ocean Center

This weekend has been very exciting! Yesterday I went to see the old lava flows, and today I went to the Maui Ocean Center! I was so excited and blessed to go with a future zoologist, and a shark enthusiast! Both of whom were from Michigan! Now, I know the future zoologist told me all of the names to these fish, but I don't remember them, so I do not attest to the accuracy of this post. Let's just say when I don't know the names of the fish, I'm gonna make them up (Adam and Eve style :)

Yellow Fish

Bird Fish

Norbert Fish (doesn't he look like a Norbert???)

Scientific Name: Fishus Longus

This is a worm with featherlike lungs

Angry Robert Fish

Indian Rug Flounder

Ugly Fish

He yawned right when I walked up! He was so CUTE!

Hammer Head Shark

Diver feeding a sting ray

Happy Sting Ray

Tiger Shark

Unhappy Hammer Head Shark

If you see this fin in the water...swim fast!!!

If Hell Froze Over...

If Hell froze over, this is exactly what it would look like! If all the rocks below were heated up to the temperature of lava, they would be lava! It is amazing to think that all of this came from the center of the earth! Below you can see exactly how the lava flowed down the mountain.

The waters around this area were kind of rough, I saw this memorial with a broken surfboard.

On the way to the trail, we came upon a wild herd of goats. Can you spot the goat???

There was a casualty on the hike!

And there was miles, and miles of this!
